Kenny Mitchell Named New Construction Supervisor

Kenny Mitchell has been named construction supervisor by FEC Operations Manager Stan Brickhouse. Mitchell began his new job duties July 11.Prior to his promotion, Mitchell was the substation foreman based in Hale. He has also worked in the Hamilton and Chillicothe areas. He has been with Farmers’ Electric almost 29 years, beginning his career with FEC in December of 1979. Mitchell replaced Raymond Dinsmore.

A native of Avalon, the 51-year-old Mitchell graduated from Tina-Avalon High School in1975. He has taken a variety of the classes through the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, focusing on electrical distribution systems and safe work practices.

He and his wife, Sharon, are members of the Free Methodist Church. Mitchell has two children, Sarah and Chris, and two grandchildren, Tanner and Colton. He also has two step-children, Kim Moore and Alan Golden, and five step-grandchildren: Bill, Shala and Avery Moore, and Darby and Tracer Golden. Mitchell's hobbies include riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, working on old cars, and hunting and fishing.
