FEC Linemen Attend Advanced AMEC Classes

Eight FEC linemen attended advanced classes at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) Training Center in Jefferson City.

Darrell Underwood, Richmond, Nick Roof, Braymer, Warren Minnis and Nolan Parks, both of Chillicothe, recently attended an Advanced Lineman School. The purpose of the course is to improve the lineworker’s professional skills to increase awareness of safety procedures. The linemen received field instruction on the safety procedures associated with performing improvements to an electrical system through powerline conversion and conductor replacement.

Wade Huston, Hale, Ray Jackson, Chillicothe, Brady Ream, Dawn, and Scott Widner, Gallatin, have completed an Advanced Meter School. Classes were taught on demand metering, meter division, advanced meter applications and safety procedures.

FEC lineman receive regular training at the AMEC Training Center, plus the linemen received additional instruction at the monthly safety meetings held at the cooperative office in Chillicothe.
