| Farmers’ Electric’s 15th
Annual Charity Events Set for August August 2007 Rural Missouri Magazine Golf tourney co-sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Bottling, Chillicothe Farmers’ Electric’s Area Youth Benefit Fund’s 15th annual fundraising events have been set for August 19-20. A wide variety of items, ranging from limited edition art prints to sports memorabilia; from furniture to jewelry, will be sold on Sunday, August 19. The dinner-auction will be held at the Elks Lodge in Chillicothe with the reception beginning at 5 p.m. and dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. There will be several silent auctions, games and a main auction, under the call of Col. Mike Miller. The following day a three-person scramble golf tournament will beheld at the Green Hills Golf Course. The golf tournament is co-sponsored by Pepsi-Cola Bottling of Chillicothe. The two events are expected to raise about $35,000. All of the proceeds from the fundraising events will be used to pay medical bills for children 18 years of age and under in the nine-county service territory of FEC. A family does not have to be a member of Farmers’ Electric to receive assistance from the AYBF.
