Farmers’ Electric Cooperative paid nearly $350,000 in property taxes to nine north Missouri counties in 2004, as well as an additional $8,942.71 in real estate taxes to two counties.

Overall, FEC paid $348,690.57 as a result of its plant (power lines, transformers, substations, poles, etc.) located in the counties of Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Linn, Livingston and Ray.

FEC property taxes in 2004 totaled $339,747.86 and were paid to the following counties:

  • Caldwell $48,897.49
  • Carroll $34,915.71
  • Chariton $16,153.11
  • Clinton $ 696.03
  • Daviess $89,093.88
  • DeKalb $ 6,684.89
  • Linn $21,521.23
  • Livingston $78,070.92
  • Ray $43,714.60

FEC real estate taxes were paid to the following counties:

  • Livingston $8,754.95
  • Daviess $ 187.76
